ufc 148 chael sonnen vs anderson silva 2 fight oddsFor years, Chael Sonnen has been running his mouth, bad-talking not only Anderson Silva and his family, but also the country where he comes from and the people that support him.

As each fighters makes their final preparations for the UFC 148 showdown on July 7th in Vegas, the reigning middleweight champion is showing the world a side we’ve never seen before.

During a recent UFC 148 pre-fight conference call, the ever-soft spoken Brazilian unleashed a series of threats in Sonnen’s direction. Fed up with the American’s bullying antics, the reigning pound-for-pound kings sounded off as Sonnen listened on the other line:

“First of all, Chael is a criminal,” Silva said through his manager and interpreter Ed Soares. “He’s been convicted of crimes [and] he doesn’t deserve to be inside the Octagon. When the time comes, when the time is right, I’m gonna break his face and break everyone of his teeth in his mouth.

“Playtime is over. I’m gonna beat Chael’s ass like he’s never been beat before. The joke is over, there’s no more talking. I know he’s on the line listening and the game is over. I’m gonna beat his ass out of the UFC. He’s never gonna want to fight again after I’m done with him.”

UFC 148 takes place on Saturday night, July 7th 2012, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, and it’ll be broadcasted live on pay-per-view.

For those interested in knowing whom MMA betting oddsmakers see winning this fight, it should come as no surprise that Anderson Silva [5/13 or -260 ML] is a huge favorite over Chael Sonnen [2/1 or +200 ML] in this rematch.
