Roger Clemens Trial vs Casey Anthony
Now that the Casey Anthony trial has come to a startling end, will those same viewers tune in and give Roger Clemens as much importance, when he takes on the federal court during his perjury trial?
One can only wonder if the same people who have been blogging, tweeting, and “facebooking” their opinions on the murder of Caylee Anthony and the “lifestyle” of her mother Casey, will need another trial to get fixated on.
If so, there is nothing like a good steroid case to grab your attention. This trial could possibly put an end to the daunting “steroid-era” surrounding baseball, other sports will just have to wait their turn. The former major league pitcher will be in the hot seat, as Roger Clemens is being charged with providing false statements and obstruction of Congress. Clemens was under oath when he told a House committee that he did not use steroids or human growth hormones during his time in the MLB.
If the seven-time Cy Young winner is found guilty, he could face up to 30 years in prison along with a $1.5 million fine, not to mention the cost of his trusty lawyers.
